In order to sell products from your web site, you'll need to add them (i.e., their names, prices and descriptions) to your shopping cart! And, the best part? It's so easy!

What's so great about our system is that you can sell all kinds of products (and services) from your web site ...

And, whatever else you can think of that you'd like to sell, you can through our shopping cart!

You can easily add dozens of products to your shopping cart by clicking on the "Add Product" link in the drop down menu of our system.

You will then be taken to a screen where you can add and customize the first of many products you'd like to sell from your site! When adding a product to your shopping cart, you can specify:

 Product Description
This is the name of your product. This is the product name that your clients will see in your shopping cart if they choose to purchase it.
 Product Code / SKU
This is an optional field. If you have product SKU's that you would like to track, you can enter them in this field.
 Price
This is the price that our system will charge for the product when somebody purchases it.
 Shipping Price
If you would like to add a product specific handling charge to one of your products, you would use this field.
 State/Country Tax
This is a simply ON/OFF calculation for the state tax field.
 Quantity Discounts
This field gives you the ability to create a discount structure for one single product.
 Product Option (i.e., SM, MED, LG, XLG)
This field gives you the ability to create product options.
 Recurring Cycle, Count Price & Commission Rate
If you would like to setup your product to automatically recur (or bill) your customer on a regular basis, you would use this field to determine the cycle (i.e., every 30 days for monthly, 180 for 6 months, etc.), how many times should it charge your customer (1x, 2x, unlimited, etc.), and if there will be a recurring commission associated with this product, add that in there too! This is a very popular feature!
 Destination URL (Where do you want ...
This field determines where your clients are taken to when they are on your shopping cart page and click on the Continue Shopping button.
 Autoresponder ...
This field gives you the option of adding your customers to a specific mailing group.
 Thank You URL ...
This field determines where your clients are taken to after a successful purchase.
 Clear Cart URL ...

This field allows you to control the destination page your clients end up on after clicking the Clear Shopping Cart link on the shopping cart page. This allows you to send your customers back to a specific catalogue page if they choose to clear out products they had previously selected.

 Affiliate Program Name
This field displays, and allows you to change the Affiliate Program your product is assigned to.
 Calculate Affiliate Commission (Y/N)
This field determines whether or not commissions will be calculated for this product.
 Commission Rates (1st/2nd Level Commissions)
If you would like to specify a unique commission structure for this product, you can do so here.
 Top HTML
This field gives you access to the top of your shopping cart billing page; this is the page where your customers will be typing in all of their information when making a purchase. You can enter HTML code or plain text into this box.
 Digital/eBook Product Filename & Upload Area
If you are planning on creating a digital product, you will have to upload the digital file using this field. Files will then be safely stored on our secure servers.
 Digital Product Licenses Remaining
If you are creating a digital product, and your digital file requires a license for activation (i.e. registration number, username and password or serial number etc.), you can use this field to upload your pre-created licenses.
 aMember Integration
This integration allows you to automatically rebill your members on a regular recurring basis, thus controlling access to your membership site.
 Virtual Media Integration
A fulfillment house service you can use to stock and send out your products, saving you the time and hassle of shipping out every order. Selecting this option defines a product as a "Virtual Media handled" product and they will be notified of all sales of the product.
 Vision Gate Integration
VisionGate, in conjunction with your Shopping Cart Account, gives you everything you need to build, manage, and grow your very own online membership-based, subscription web site. The integration allows you to automatically rebill your members on a regular recurring basis, thus controlling access to your membership site.

Whew! When you're done, save your newly added product to our system and instantaneously a unique product "Buy Me' link will appear! Here's where the magic begins!

Then, once your products are added to your shopping cart, you will find three separate links at the top of (each) product you create and add to the shopping cart:

 Regular Buy Me Link
This is the standard shopping cart link and when used, will direct your customers to the first of two shopping cart pages on our secure servers.
 One Click Buy Me Link
This is a short-cut shopping cart link that, when used, will direct your customers directly to the checkout process. This link is most often used by merchants who only sell one product, or don't expect their clients to purchase more than one different product at a time, as there is no way to navigate back to your catalogue pages from this shopping cart page.
 Cut-and-Paste 'Add to Cart' Button Code
The cut-and-paste code provides the standard Regular Buy Me Link imbedded in a graphical button. You can choose one button for all your products from the Cart Setup >> Cart Buttons page, or choose a unique button on a per product basis.

To use either of these links or the graphical "Add To Cart" buttons, simply highlight everything that appears and copy it. Then paste it wherever you want them to appear on your web site. See our screen shot tutorials up above for example.
